First, make sure your appliance is Real Stainless Steel
CrobialCoat is formulated to protect real stainless steel or brushed steel appliances. There are some appliances made of faux stainless steel. They are called "lookalike" stainless and are made from metal covered with a plastic film that can look like stainless but is not real stainless steel. These finishes usually go by names such as meteorite or slate. CrobialCoat will protect real metal but plastic film cannot stand up to solvents. If you are getting fingerprints on the metal, chances are that you have real stainless steel.

You can check with the retailer where you purchased your appliance to make sure they are REAL stainless steel. Best Buy, Home Depot, Lowes and other appliance retailers should be able to tell you if your appliance is stainless steel or a lookalike. You also may be able to check the websites of the manufacturers: LG, Whirlpool, Samsung, Frigidaire, GE, Amana and others to see if your model number has real stainless.
How to Protect your New Stainless Steel Appliances

Remove the plastic protective film by peeling it off.

Clean the stainless steel by washing with a soft cloth and mild soap and water. Dish soap works well.

Rinse well and dry with a soft cloth.

Wipe with a clean solvent. This will ensure a completely clean and dry surface.

Saturate applicator with CrobialCoat and gently squeeze out the excess. It should be wet but not dripping.

How to Restore your Older Stainless Steel Appliance to Look New

Use ERW-XL Stainless Steel Cleaner to clean the appliance to remove grime, fingerprints and smudges. The cleaner will also brighten the stainless steel and will also remove light rust or tea-staining.

Neutralize. Use EZ Prep Neutralizer to wash the metal with the microfiber or cloth saturated with the neutralizing solution. Rinse with clean water. Dry with a clean cloth to prevent spotting.

Solvent-wipe the metal to remove any traces of residue.
