Protect Sculptures from Tarnish, Corrosion and Oxidation

Bronze Sculpture information can be found here.

Everbrite Coatings will protect sculptures from oxidation and corrosion. Seal and Protect Stainless Steel, Brass, Copper, Steel, Painted, Non-Painted and even Rusted Metal Sculptures.

Artists choose to protect their sculptures because it is easier and less expensive to maintain than other coating systems that are cross-linked.

  • If graffiti happens to get on a sculpture coated with Incralac or other cross linked coatings, the area must be sand blasted, re-patinized and then re-coated. With Everbrite, the graffiti can be wiped off with a solvent like xylene and the coating can be reapplied. Everbrite is self-annealing and will blend to itself so the repairs will not be noticeable.
  • Other coatings can start to peel after about 7 years and the coating must be blasted off with sand or other abrasives, the bronze must be re-patinized and the coating reapplied. This involves a lot of expense to take down the sculpture and send it back to the foundry for the work to be completed. Everbrite can be wiped down with a solvent and reapplied in the field. No expensive processes.
  • Some sculptors prefer a softer sheen on their art. Everbrite is available in a Satin finish so the metal does not need wax to dull down the shine.

Wendy Gellert uses ProtectaClear to protect her beautiful artwork. Here is what she had to say about working with ProtectaClear " I have used it on many of my pieces now. Attached is the piece I bought the ProtectaClear for.... I have a website if your interested in seeing other work I am doing that uses your product. As for the application process...all I did was clean the metal and apply with a sponge brush. It went on smooth and the self- leveling was perfect. Dried quickly ...."

The Everbrite worked fantastic. We have our first two wind sculptures at a small gallery in out town and they look beautiful. I was amazed how Everbrite made the copper colors pop. Thanks! -Janelle Sundberg

Everbrite Coatings will seal and protect metal from tarnish, oxidation, corrosion, salt air and other damaging elements.
