Is Winter Attacking your Wheels?

Save your wheels with ProtectaClear

Yes, Winter can attack your wheels as well as other metal on your car, truck or bike. Road salts and chemicals used on roads for snow and ice control can corrode, pit and stain your wheels, chrome bumpers and other metal. You can protect your aluminum, chrome or alloy wheels from corrosion, oxidation and road salts. Protect other metal on your ride as well.

ProtectaClear is a clear protective coating that is tough and durable, is highly resistant to salts and chlorines and will keep the metal on your ride looking freshly polished. Metal protected with ProtectaClear will clean up easily with mild soap and water.

Brake dust is also highly corrosive and can corrode your wheels year around. Brake dust leaves gummy deposits that are hard to remove. Be wary of highly acidic cleaners because they can damage the finish on your wheels. When cleaning wheels, start with the least agressive method of cleaning, soap and water. If they need a tougher cleaner, Restore Wheel Cleaner is a cleaner that works to remove tough grime and brake dust. Paint it On - Let it Work - Rinse it Off.

Protect your wheels from corrosion and oxidation and keep them looking great with ProtectaClear. Stop the Winter Salt Attack on your wheels.

  • ProtectaClear is NOT a wax but is a Tough, Clear Protective Coating that will protect your aluminum, chrome or alloy wheels from corrosion and oxidation. Seals and protects Stainless Steel and Anodized Aluminum too.
  • ProtectaClear is crystal clear, is a one-part,self leveling coating that is easy to apply and is tough enough to keep your wheels looking great even if you drive through corrosive salts in the winter.
  • ProtectaClear will blend to itself so re-coating is easy. The coating is not thick and plastic looking but makes the metal look like it is freshly polished.

Chevy Impala

I was able to use my order of Protectaclear about a week or two ago on my old and new wheels for my ’96 Chevy Impala SS. My old wheels are chrome while my new wheels are polished aluminum. I started off by having my old wheels removed and new wheels installed with my old tires, then I decided to work on my old wheels and see how the Protectaclear worked on them before putting the coating on my brand new Foose wheels. My idea behind putting the coating on the wheels in the first place was to help protect them while also reducing the time it took for me to clean them.

I spent all day cleaning and preparing the 4 older chrome wheels which had about 4 years of wear on them. Following the directions was easy and I previously made sure that I had all the required material to prepare my wheels so they were as clean as I could make them before applying the Protectaclear. At first I quickly learned not to be too heavy handed as the coating went on very easily and also ran easily when applied too much. After using less of a heavy hand I was able to get a good coat on the wheels. I went ahead and put 3 coats on the exterior and interior of the wheels, letting each coat dry to the touch before doing the next coat. Once finished I was very pleased.

The next day I was determined to coat my new wheels so that is what I did and again was very pleased. In fact after driving my Impala around all last week the wheels looked pretty dusty and had some road dirt on them. I washed and cleaned them with soap and water, they look just like I had spent a couple of hours hand polishing them. I am so happy with these results that I’m definitely going to look at other things I can coat ;)

We have had quite a few Honda Goldwing owners use ProtectaClear to protect their wheels. Honda does not apply a protective clear coat and owners have a problem with corrosion and oxidation. Read about ProtectaClear on an independent Goldwing forum.

"Just wanted to let you know that your product is so easy to apply, and the results are fantastic. I did the aluminum wheels on my Goldwing and they turned out awesome. I polished them out to a superior shine and then coated with your product. Couldn't have been any easier. Thanks for making such a user friendly product.
Thank You!" Rick Ekstrom

My project (trike wheels) went wonderfully! I have coated just about everything I can find - including my back rest posts! It's so easy - even a guy :) could do it!
Arvilla Largacci

"I have used the Everbrite on the stock aluminum wheel from my Goldwing and it performed as stated. I used a natural bristle brush to apply the Everbrite and it did leave brush strokes on smooth surfaces, but they soon disappeared as it dried. So far, everyone I have shown the wheel to has been impressed. Thanks and you may be hearing more from me later."
